Bible reading through the week
Prepare a church Bible reading plan members can follow.
Bible plans are part of your church’s core content tools. Give members a clear sequence of Scripture readings and useful reflection prompts. Your church creates the plan in TheFaithApp, publishes it when ready, and members choose to start it in their own accounts.
A checklist before inviting members
- Choose the purpose and audience. Open Bible Reading Plans in the church dashboard. Add a title and description, then choose Individual, Whole church, or Families and households. These are church-created plans, with each member following from their own account.
- Build the days in the intended reading order. Give each day a title and Scripture reference. Add an optional reflection prompt; a Family plan can also include a household conversation or shared practice. Review the full sequence before anyone starts.
- Choose a supportive pace. Explain how you suggest using the plan. Set the number of grace days and choose whether members may repair missed days, up to that number. Invite people to continue after an interruption without making their progress a public comparison.
- Check the readings on a member’s phone. Proofread the prompts and check the chosen passages in the phone’s Bible reader. Passage availability depends on the Bible pack available on that device. Keep private family or child information out of shared prompts.
- Publish, then check the member journey. Members see published plans from their church. In the app’s Bible formation area, they can open a plan, select Start this plan, read its days and mark readings complete. Tell members where to find the plan before announcing it.
Finish the reading days before members start
Reading days can be edited before the first member enrolls. After enrollment, day titles, references, order and prompts stay fixed to protect existing progress. If the reading schedule needs to change, archive that plan and create a new one.
Keep Scripture memory personal
Members can add the displayed Verse of the Day to their Scripture memory list and review it with recall ratings. Those cards and ratings belong to the signed-in member. Reading progress and memorization reviews are not public spiritual scores.
