Prepare a church event from registration to arrival
Plan church event registration and arrival together. Check the event details, capacity, recurring dates, participant journey, and the attendee check-in handoff.
A clear event invitation should tell someone what happens after they decide to come.
They need the right date and place, an understandable registration path, and a welcome on arrival. Your team needs a usable attendee list for that particular gathering. Plan the event as one connected journey.
Write the practical details first
Give the event a clear title, description, location, start and end time, and a named organizing team. Read the page on a phone. Someone seeing it for the first time should be able to decide whether it fits them.
Choose the registration rules
Decide whether people need to register, when registration opens and closes, and how many places are available. Configure any applicable ticket or payment options in the supported event workflow. Avoid promising a place from a message if registration has not confirmed it.
Plan recurring dates deliberately
For a recurring event, make sure the person is looking at the right occurrence. The team should review attendees and check-in for that occurrence, rather than assuming one overall event total describes every date.
Test the participant journey
Open the public event page and the member-app experience. Check the information, registration options, and confirmation. Use a fictional test attendee and review what the staff sees afterward. Give the team a route for answering registration questions.
Prepare arrival
Agree on who reviews the attendee list and records check-in. Give arrival volunteers the details they need for the event. Registration tells you someone booked; check-in helps record who actually arrived.
TheFaithApp connects event information, registration settings, occurrence-level attendees, and staff check-in. Members can also find eligible events through their church’s mobile experience.
A launch checklist:
- Correct date, time, and location
- Clear registration and capacity rules
- Tested public and mobile journeys
- An owner for participant questions
- A prepared arrival team
After the event, review attendance and unanswered requests before planning the next one. Any follow-up should reflect what the person agreed to receive.
Save this checklist for the next ministry gathering you organize.
